There is loss of muscle in between thumb and index finger in left hand of my father who is 52 years old. Pain occurs from elbow to the palm.What could be the reason?

Post Reply I have also searched about it. It may be cubital tunnel syndrome. Symptoms like finger pain, numbness, occur. Since one and half year it occurs but first symptom is tingling hand later on pain occurs .

Dear Anonymous User, Your father's 1st dorsal interosseous muscle is atrophied( thinned). Causes are vague and many. If you could provide more information we can tell more. It might be thoracic outlet compression or cubital tunnel syndrome or early feature of motor neuron disease. plz provide more information.
