acid reflux can cause shortness of breath sometimes...if it is severe

it can rarely. especially at night but more of a heartburn/water brash. if you have any other cardiac risk factors or family history or if you are having shortness of breath while walking or after getting a sound sleep which is troubling your sleep or if there are other features such as chest pain palpitations syncope then get tested.
