My query has been described as below : I was diagnosed with distal radius fracture 25 days before and implanted with k-wires. As per orthopedics the plast has been removed but k-wires have not been removed. I would like to know after how many days of surgery in my case k-wires need to be removed. I'm feeling some pain near pin incision area. I'm expecting a answer as soon as possible.

It is really very much difficult for anyone besides your orthopedic surgeon to determine when to remove K-Wire. We follow specific procedures, clinical examinations and radiological imaging before deciding any surgical procedure or for patient's outcome DEPENDING UPON patient's healing and well-being.. So, the only person who would be of the greatest help is your surgeon. Follow up with him/her and consult for pain management. Best wishes for quick recovery.
