Thank you for your question. There are various causes for chest pain. If you are quite elderly chest pain is the symptom of ischemic heart disease and angina i.e. initial stages of heart attack. Sometimes it may be due to gastritis. It may also be muscle pain or bone pain due to costochondritis. So detail history, examination and investigation is required to find out the exact cause.
