my father, age 46 had been taking medicines of depression for about 10 years and left it 2 years ago. now he found increase in blood pressure about 180 systolic B.P. and he started taking mload-5 for 2 days (1st day he took 2 at night and two at the morning and next 1 at night and 1 at the morning) now his b.p. is under control and has stopped taking medicines and he has chest pain now. Should he continue taking medicines of b.p. or stop taking it.

who prescribed you medicine that way? Don't take antihypertensive on your own. this is not the way to start and stop these medicine abruptly . it's more dangerous. check his Bp again multiple times in a day. if it's above normal. take single amoled 5mg tablet regularly at the same time until lockdown is over.keep checking Bp level each day. chest pain can occur with high bp affecting heart.

BP medicine should not be started and eft on own without consulting the doctor. Though bp may has decreased now it may increase after the medicine is stopped. So please don't stop the medicine on your own. Please consult your doctor after the lockdown is over. For the time being if you want online consult via hamrodoctor pls go through this link: https://www.hamrodoctor.com/consult/sugar-thyroid-heart
