I have 14 months old boy. He is active, seems to be in good health. But since last one month he has lost his appetite. He doesn't want to eat at all. I googled and many sites suggest it might be the problem with zinc deficiency. I tried giving him some nuts, pumpkin seeds and so on but for vain. Is it normal for babies to loose appetite? If not is there any medicine that helps to get appetite back without any other side effects? or is it symptoms of some other type of illness? Thank you in advanced.

What is the weight of the child? If the weight of the child is okay as per his age, active and looks playful then not need to worry much. There is not exactly the medicine that brings the apetite back but you can try various methods while feeding. Give him the foods he like, don't force him much rather encourage and so on. If he is loosing significant weight and is much difficult visit the pedia doctor after the situation becomes okay. Hope this solves your query. Regards.
